If you haven’t tried a lip scrub yet, you’re missing out. I use mine throughout the winter months to keep chapped lips at bay. It’s a great way to exfoliate the lips and remove the dead skin keeping that makes them rough and dry. Super smooth kissable lips are only a minute away when using this sweet lip scrub!
Once I discovered how easy it is to make sugar scrubs at home, I stopped buying them at the store for good. It doesn’t make any sense to pay big bucks for an item I can make at home with ingredients I already have on hand for pennies. Not to mention I love knowing what I’m putting on my skin, and this homemade lip scrub is about as natural as it gets. With only 3 ingredients that you probably already have in your pantry, it’s a quick fix for wintry lips. Let me share the simple recipe with you.
Sweet Honey & Brown Sugar Lip Scrub Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 T. Coconut Oil
- 1 T. Honey
- 2 T. Brown Sugar
Directions:
Place coconut oil in a small bowl. Add honey and stir until combined. Add brown sugar and mix well. That’s it!
How to use this homemade lip scrub:
- Apply a small amount of the lip scrub to lips using your finger.
- Rub the mixture on your lips for a minute, allowing the scrub to loosen dead skin.
- Wipe the scrub off of your lips with a warm, damp cloth (unless you choose to lick it off!).
- Apply a lip balm or conditioner to your now super smooth kissable lips.
- Store extra lip scrub in an airtight container.
I purchased these containers from Amazon to store my lip scrub in and they worked well for me. I order a lot because I like to give these as gifts, but you can find similar ones at Hobby Lobby, too. Whether you decide to make this homemade lip scrub for yourself or someone else, I hope you’ll enjoy the simple recipe. Be sure to check out my other sugar scrub recipes, too!
