Energizing Orange Sugar Scrub

Hi, friends! Today I’m sharing a recipe for an Energizing Orange Sugar Scrub. DIY Sugar Scrubs are one of my favorite projects because they make me feel like I’ve been to the spa…at a fraction of the cost, of course! 

I’m glad to be sharing one of my favorite DIY beauty projects with you today. Sugar scrubs are so good for your skin. They not only exfoliate your skin to reveal the fresh, new skin underneath, but they also leave your skin super moisturized.  As much as I love the sugar scrubs found at retail chain stores like Sephora, Ulta and Bath & Body Works, making sugar scrubs at home is such a better alternative. It’s much more affordable, plus you know exactly what is in it. There are no crazy chemicals you can’t even pronounce in homemade sugar scrubs!

Today’s recipe is for a simple Energizing Orange Sugar Scrub. Why is this scrub energizing? Good question…orange oil is often used in aromatherapy because it creates a happy, relaxed feeling, and energizes the mind. That makes this sugar scrub recipe the perfect gift to lift someone’s spirit! 

So, have I convinced you to try this scrub yet? Awesome! Here’s how to make this easy DIY project:

Ingredients:

• 1 cup of Sugar
• 1/2 cup of Coconut Oil
• 1/2 tsp. Orange Essential Oil

Directions:

1. Place the coconut oil in a microwave safe bowl and hear until melted, about 30 seconds.
2. Add sugar and mix well.
3. Add the Orange essential oil and mix well.
4. Pour into an air-tight container for storage.

Note: You can add more/less sugar until the scrub is your desired consistency.
