The Holiday Parfait That Will Make You Actually Want Breakfast

Check out this simple Holiday Parfait that will make you actually want to eat breakfast. You can even use leftover cranberry sauce!

If you’ve been searching for an easy breakfast idea to serve holiday guests, today you’ve hit jackpot. This recipe for a Holiday Parfait is a simple breakfast idea to make, but the taste is still amazing. As much as I would love to serve my guests a breakfast meal of french toast, bacon and eggs, I just don’t have the time for it this time of year. The holidays are busy enough without adding the extra stress of making and serving extensive breakfasts, lunches and dinners for holiday guests.

Today’s recipe for a Holiday Parfait is a light but fulfilling breakfast idea that you and your family will love. Cranberry sauce, apples, cinnamon, and even more flavors make this a holiday treat that doesn’t seem like breakfast. Let me share the easy recipe with you so you can see for yourself.

Holiday Parfait Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of vanilla yogurt
  • 1 cup of cranberry sauce (find my homemade recipe here)
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 2 apples peeled, cored and chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1-2 tablespoons of cinnamon apple muesli or granola
  • Fresh raspberries (or fruit of choice)

Recipe Directions:

Let’s start by making the cinnamon apples. In a pan over medium high heat, add in butter. Once butter begins to melt, add in apples and cinnamon. Cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally until apples become tender. Remove from heat and let cool.

Now let’s assemble the holiday parfait. In a mason jar or cup layer the ingredients. Start by adding ½ cup of yogurt, then ½ cup of cranberry sauce, then ½ cup of cinnamon apples. Repeat layers and finish off with a topping of muesli and fruit.

What’s great about this delicious Holiday Parfait is that you can make it ahead of time. Put together all ingredients except for the topping and store in the fridge. You can asily add the toppings right before serving and no one will no the difference. This is also a great breakfast idea to serve after big holiday meals because you can use leftover cranberry sauce.

While I’m not a big breakfast eater, this holiday parfait makes me actually want to eat breakfast. Yes, it’s that’s good! Not to mention easy to make. I hope you and your family enjoy the tasty Holiday Parfait as part of a healthy breakfast during the holiday season this year.
