Anybody else out there a butterscotch fan like me? Yes? Then this recipe is for you, friends, because you are going to love the taste of these Homemade Butterscotch Kit Kat Bars. Don’t worry, they are super easy to make. Trust me when I say it is possibly the easiest homemade candy bar recipe out there. Let me show you today!
I’m not the biggest Kit Kat fan out there, but whenever I see the white chocolate candy bar version I’m tempted to grab one on my way to store checkout. The only flavor I love better than white chocolate is butterscotch, but that is one flavor you don’t see often down the candy bar aisle. If you can’t find it, make it! That’s what I say, anyway, so I decided to go for it and make my own Homemade Butterscotch Kit Kat Bars. They are so tasty and good, and only require two ingredients. Now, that’s my kind of recipe! If you’re one of those people who can only use a microwave, today you’re in luck. Let me walk you through how easy it is to make your own candy Bars.
Here is all you need for this simple recipe:
- 1 package Vanilla Sugar Wafer Cookies
- 1 package Butterscotch Flavored Candy Melts
Start out by lining a baking sheet with wax paper. Melt the candy wafers in a microwavable bowl for 30 seconds and stir. Repeat until the wafers are completely melted, being careful not to overheat.
Dip each wafer into the melted butterscotch, using a fork to remove the wafer from the candy, allowing the extra candy to drip before placing on to the wax paper.
Place the baking sheet into the refrigerator for 5-10 minutes until the candy is hardened then use a knife to trim the edges as needed. Store in an airtight container.
See how easy that was? When you sink your teeth into these delicious bars, you will be in candy heaven. Unless you’re not crazy about butterscotch. The beauty of this recipe is that you can easily change it. Try caramel or strawberry flavored candy wafers instead of butterscotch. You decide what flavor you like best!
