When I think of fall I think of cooler weather, falling leaves, pumpkins, candy corn and hay bales. That’s why thinking of fall led me to thinking of this Fall Candy Corn Haystacks Recipe. They are the perfect treat for this time of year, for adults and kids alike.
The first time I ever had haystacks was when I was in Kindergarten. My teacher, Ms. Kitty, made them for my class for an afternoon treat and since they were butterscotch, I thought they were the best cookies ever! Once I got older and found the recipe, I quickly added it to my favorite list of recipes since these no-bake cookies are oh-so-easy to make. This year I decided to step my recipe up a notch by adding my favorite fall candy…candy corn. The result is a crunchy AND chewy cookie loaded with flavor. I bet you’ll like it, too!
Here is what you will need to make these Fall Candy Corn Haystacks:
- 3 cups Chow Mein Noodles
- 1 ½ cups Butterscotch Chips
- 1 cup Candy Corn
Instructions:
In a microwave-safe bowl, microwave the butterscotch morsels for 30 seconds. Stir. Repeat until the chips are fully melted. Remove from the microwave and fold in the chow mein noodles and candy corn. Stir well until the noodles are well coated, then drop by spoon onto wax paper and let cool before serving.
This Fall Candy Corn Haystacks Recipe is really one of the easiest no-bake cookie recipes you could try this fall. These would be great for a party or family get together, or even an afternoon treat. Print out the recipe below and enjoy!
