The daffodils and hyacinths in my yard are blooming, the birds are chirping outside my window, and with each day the air temp feels warmer and warmer. I can feel it…Easter is just around the corner. Can you believe it?? This year truly is flying by, but I’m OK with that. Why? Because I live for Spring!!

Spring. The promise of new beginnings, new life, and new adventures. Spring is a welcomed revival I look forward to year after year. Not only does nature come back to life after a long, cold winter, but my spirit seems to shift towards a new perspective, too. I can’t help but look at all the new life springing up around me and feel deep worship for my creator who is breathing new life into all things, including me. Admiring His handiwork makes me feel more connected to Him and I love that it’s warm enough for me to go outside and enjoy the beauty of Spring.

Another reason I love Spring is because it always brings my favorite holiday along for a ride. Yes, Easter tops my list of holidays I enjoy celebrating. The promise of Easter reminds me that despite what may be happening in my life at the moment, there is hope in the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ. Oh, what love the Savior has for me to lay His life down for me! Even better, because He is risen and now I can have hope. Hope that one day there will be no more tears and I will spend eternity worshiping my creator. No wonder the flowers and trees have decided to join me in the celebration of Spring and Easter!
