Recently I realized my vacuum cleaner wasn’t working like it should, so I asked my husband to take a look at it. 15 minutes later I walked in the room to find him bent over the vacuum holding long strands of blonde hair in his hand. He looked at me and asked, “I wonder who this belongs to?” Apparently my stray hairs had wrapped around the roller on the vacuum. I did what any good wife would do. I blamed it on my doggie and quickly walked out of the room. Sorry, Lanie!
Long hair is very beautiful, but yes…it can be bothersome. Especially if you have super thick hair like me. Not only does my hair find itself caught in the vacuum cleaner, but also in my shower drain. Ugh! My husband loves my hair, but not when he’s having to pull it out of the shower drain. That’s why I couldn’t wait for us to give the DrainWig a try. Long hair=clogged shower drains=unhappy husband. But not anymore, thanks to the DrainWig!
The DrainWig has a plastic cap attached to a chain with little rubber whiskers that is inserted into your drain in a matter of seconds. The plastic cap keeps the DrainWig into place until it’s time for removal. If you have a tub don’t worry, because there is also a DrainWig with a plastic suction cup to keep it into place! It really is simple to install the DrainWig. All you have to do is remove the drain stopper, insert the chain by guiding it through the crossbar, turn the water on and watch the DrainWig flow into place. Attach the suction cup to your tub, replace the stopper, and you’re done. That’s it!
The little whiskers catch hair as it moves down the drain while you shower and bathe. When it’s time to remove the DrainWig, simply pull the chain out by the plastic cap and throw it into the trash along with the nasty built up hair. You’ll never have to touch the hair or use harsh chemicals. No calls to the plumber, either!
The DrainWig really is a lifesaver to me (my husband, really!), so I couldn’t wait to share it with you. I love gadgets that make keeping your home cleaner easier, don’t you? You can easily order a set of DrainWigs by visiting their website. Enter “FIZZ5” in the promo code box at check out to receive $5 off your order.
Another reason I like this product is because it was invented by a Mom of 5 beautiful daughters, all with long hair. Now that’s a Mom to the rescue! If only she’d make one of these for my vacuum…

I like the idea of never having to to touch the gross yucky stuff that is in the drain. I also like that each one last a few months.
Yes, one pack of these should last a year. That’s awesome! 🙂
