Today is the first day of February, and Valentine’s Day is less than 2 weeks away. My husband is super excited since today is the first day of the 14 Days of Valentines, and he can’t wait to see what he receives today! I just hope he’s willing to share his goodies with me… If you aren’t prepared, don’t worry! Today I’m sharing a quick project I made this week, just in time for Valentine’s Day. For this project, all you need is a pillow cover, some paint, a paintbrush, and stencil of your choice.
I used pre-made stencils to mark my letters on my pillow cover, but you can always print out the words on your computer and trace with tracing paper if you prefer. That’s how I normally do this, but since these were short words I was able to use my stencils and skip a step this time. I like it when that happens!
All you have to do is trace your words onto the pillow and paint them in with your paint. Just remember to put a piece of cardboard inside your pillow cover before you paint so it will not bleed onto the backside! You could even make this project easier by using a fabric paint marker. Once you’re done painting, wait for it to dry and then it’s time to pop your pillow form into its new cover. I’m sure it will appreciate the makeover!
The hardest part of this project is deciding on your wording for your pillow cover. Here are some ideas for Valentine’s Day to get you started:
