The Guy Behind the Blog – July 2015 Edition

Welcome back to another fun edition of The Guy Behind the Blog. I love participating in this fun link-up organized by Betsy at Heavens to Betsy and Laura Jean at According to Laura Jean. Errik really is my better half, and I’m so glad you get to know more about him each month with this fun series. He is my exact opposite in many ways, which is usually exactly what I need. I’m so glad God knew what He was doing when He matched us up together!  Guy Behind the Blog July

This month Errik spills the beans about his favorite foods. Let’s see what he likes and doesn’t like to eat!

What is your all time favorite food?

Errik:  Pizza. There’s so many flavors to choose from, so many different combinations, and I just love it. I once ate it for 5 meals in a row…including breakfast.

Who is the cook between you and your significant other?

Errik: Well, it ain’t me, unless you want toast or peanut butter and jelly. Oh, I do the grilling.

Christie: Yeah, but when you grill you just cook what I’ve prepared.

Errik: Well, that counts for something!

What is the weirdest thing you have ever eaten?

Errik: I’ve never eaten worms, crickets or weird stuff like that.

Christie: You never ate anyting weird when you were overseas in Japan?

Errik: No, I ate on base and they fed us normal food. When I was in Spain we were fed a traditional meal that had octopus on it, but I didn’t eat it. It still had eyeballs on it. It was unpleasant. I felt sorry later that I didn’t at least try it, but it looked disgusting.

Are there any foods that you absolutely detest?

Errik: Anchovies. I once ordered a pizza and when they delivered it, it had anchovies on it. It’s the only time I ever turned down pizza. I guess if I had tried some of the weird foods out there, I probably would have detested them.

What is your favorite local, little-known, or hole in the wall place to eat?

Errik: I like to eat at Grubb Brothers Eatery downtown. They’ve got great burgers.

Christie: Yes, they do!

Well, that’s all for this edition of The Guy Behind the Blog. I’m still letting it soak in that my Midwestern Hubby now uses the word “ain’t.” That’s a word even this Southern girl doesn’t use!
