Hi Christie,
I may be commenting in the wrong place, but I read your email today and it just give me the confirmation that I needed. I woke up this morning to disappointing news, nothing earth shattering, or life changing, just … disappointing. As I always do I praised God, Thanked Him for His many blessings and started putting some gratitude in my attitude for everything thing He has done, still doing and will do for me, when I finished I was grateful even for the tree in my front yard that I’m annoyed with for attracting so many bees. My husband lost his Father(he was 105 when he died) earlier this year, but found a brother he never knew he had.
Our plans for this summer will be to spent some time with him and his wife. My husband loves lemon pound cake so I will be using your recipe, minus the almond flavoring, I hope vanilla flavoring won’t change the flavor too much. I have an Aunt Fannie too and she was a great cook. She is 98 years old with dementia, and she change my life,
God Bless
You
