Who’s ready to celebrate National Ice Cream Day? I thought we’d celebrate the day in style with an ice cream recipe. No ice cream maker? No problem, because my recipe for No Churn Birthday Cake Ice Cream has got you covered!I remember my parents making homemade ice cream when I was growing up, but it’s something I never wanted to try as an adult. It seemed like such a chore with the rock salt, churning and all that. No churn ice cream? That, I can do! My mother used to make a fabulous Oreo Cookie Ice Cream Cake for birthdays, and after making it a few times, I decided to modify it a little bit. I left out a few ingredients and was left with a simple 3 ingredient recipe for ice cream, and it was delicious!! When I made it for my neighbor’s birthday a few years ago, I switched out the Oreo cookies for some with Birthday Cake flavor creme, and I was hooked. My recipe for No Churn Birthday Cake Ice Cream was born, and trust me when I tell you that after just one bite, you’ll be hooked, too!
Can you believe you only need 3 ingredients for this easy ice cream recipe?? You will need the following:
- Oreo Birthday Cake Flavored Cookies (20)
- 16 oz Heavy Whipping Cream
- Can of Sweetened Condensed Milk (14 oz)
The first step to making this delicious ice cream is to crush 20 of the Oreo cookies. These cookies will add the delicious birthday cake flavor we’re looking for! I like bigger chunks in my ice cream, so I used my hands to break the cookies into fourths. Beware when sampling these cookies…they are addictive! In fact, I snacked on my remaining cookies while making my easy sew clutch last week!
You are not going to believe how easy this recipe is to make! Here are the easy recipe instructions:
- Add heavy whipping cream to a large bowl and beat with a mixer until stiff peaks form.
- Slowly add the can of sweetened condensed milk and continue to beat until combined.
- Add cookies to the mixture by folding them gently until they are mixed in well.
- Pour mixture into an airtight freezer safe container and freeze for 6 hours before serving.
Yep, that’s it! That hardest part of this recipe is waiting for it to get firm in the freezer!
I found these awesome freezer containers at my local Dollar Tree Store, and they are perfect for storing ice cream. They are durable and reusable, not to mention a steal at just $1!
After 6 hours, it’s time to enjoy this amazing no churn birthday cake ice cream! This ice cream is truly the creamiest, richest AND easiest ice cream recipe out there. Serve this to dinner guests and they will be amazed to learn that you made it! I can’t wait to hear what you think of this easy ice cream recipe. Print out the recipe below and let me know your thoughts. Happy National Ice Cream Day!
