First let me introduce you to these heavenly pom pom makers. While I used to use cardboard to make pom poms, I decided to give these a try and I’m so glad I did. They make it easy to make pom poms uniform in size. No more using the scissors to trim the balls into shape with these handy tools! The instructions come with them, but I thought I’d give you a quick tutorial on how to use these.
First you wound the yarn around the two half moon shaped pieces. Then you cut the yarn all the way around.
Wrap a piece of yarn around the middle and tie it tightly into a knot. Take the plastic pieces apart and voila…you have a perfect pom pom! It’s so easy to use these pom pom makers that I wish I had purchased them sooner. Even the hubby pitched in to help me!
To make this Colorful Pom Pom Wreath you need to make lots and lots of pom poms in various colors and sizes. For my wreath I used only the two larger sized pom pom makers, but you could use all sizes if you wish. Once you have enough pom poms all you have to do is hot glue them one by one to your wreath form.
I will warn you…when you think you’re done you’ll have to think again. I had to make more pom poms to fill in some spots. I couldn’t believe how many pom poms I made for this wreath!! I don’t have the patience to count them all, but my estimate is that I made around 75 for this wreath.
Just look at that beautiful texture!! And these colors…they make my soul smile! Can you tell I’m ready for Spring???
That’s it folks! Can you believe how easy it was to make this fun wreath for Spring? Just make pom poms and glue them to a wreath form. It doesn’t get much simpler than that. I hope you enjoy making a colorful pom pom wreath for your home this spring, too!
