Don’t complicate things when decorating your home for fall this year. Not when there are 7 simple ways to spruce up your home for fall. You see, it’s easy to make your home nice and cozy for fall simply by adding a few items to your existing home decor.
All it took was a simple trip to Lowe’s for me to bring a touch of fall to my home. Let me share with you just how easy it is to cozy up your home for the fall season with these 7 simple additions.
#1 Pumpkins
Nothing says fall like pumpkins and gourds. The more the merrier if you ask me when decorating your home for fall. Stack them by the fireplace, display them on the mantle or spread them across tables. Use pumpkins of various sizes, colors, textures and materials. That’s right! This year I snagged these super cute fabric pumpkins in a couple of different sizes at Lowe’s along with some cream craft pumpkins and a couple of mercury glass gourds. They were the perfect addition to my console table, don’t you think?
#2 Wreaths
Adding a wreath to your door is about as easy as it gets to add a touch of fall to your home. Whether you decide to purchase one or make one of your own, you can add wreaths not only to your front door for some curb appeals, but over your mantle, mirrors or interior doors as well.
#3 Mums
Fall is the season for mums and I couldn’t resist adding this beautiful colored mum to my console table this year. It’s the perfect pop of color it needed and you can find one in many other colors, too!
#4 Textiles
Fall themed textiles are the perfect way to cozy up your home for fall. Drape a burlap runner across your kitchen table, add a cozy flannel throw to your favorite chair or set the dining table with fall colored placemats and napkins. You can also switch out the pillows on your sofa and rugs on your floor for fall themed ones for a quick and easy fix.
#5 Candles
The flicker of a candle reminds me of bonfires and sweatshirt weather. How about you? Add candles throughout your home and light them this fall to bring up the cozy atmosphere a notch. Or you can buy battery operated lights if you prefer, like these mercury glass gourds that light up with just a few batteries!
#6 Natural Elements
A quick walk outside is an easy way to gather up fall themed decor. Fallen pine cones, acorns, sticks and other natural elements can add the simple touch of fall to mantles, table tops, vases, etc.
#7 Candy
I admit I get giddy each year when I start seeing the candy corn and mellow creme pumpkins on the store shelves. Adding candy corn to candy dishes, plates or even the table itself can add the perfect touch of fall to your home.
