#1 – Get up Earlier
If you can, get up a little earlier. This can give you a bit of “Me” time. Do something you enjoy! If you always feel rushed, by getting up a little earlier this will help slow down the pace and allow you to enjoy your morning, instead of panicking to get out the door in time.
#2 – Healthy Breakfast
Make sure to take time for a healthy breakfast! That consists of lean proteins, healthy fats (almonds, walnuts, etc) and whole grains. Eating a good nutritious breakfast will make you less hungry throughout the day. Help you focus and concentrate more, and give you energy.
#3 – Find Joy In Something
When you wake up, make sure to find joy in something! Whether that is drinking a cup of coffee while reading the newspaper, or going on a short walk, playing with your kids. No matter what it is, do something you enjoy to help brighten your day.
#4 – Work Out or Stretch
Working out can really boost your energy and metabolism. Whether you are into yoga, bike riding, power walking, or even going to the gym. It can really help you feel better through the day!
#5 – Open Blinds Or Windows
If the weather is nice out, consider letting some fresh air flow in through the windows! It is a great way to boost your mood. If it is a little chilly then just open the blinds and let the sun shine in! Seeing a beautiful day and hearing birds chirping can really be an instant mood booster.
#6 – Read the Bible
There’s no better way to start the day than with the Word of God. Set aside a few minutes each morning to read The Bible and say a prayer. Trust me, you’ll set yourself up for a better day ahead when you take the time.
Having a great morning has a lot to do with your perspective. Get up and tell yourself it is going to be a great day! You will have success at your job, your kids will behave and listen, or whatever else. Having a positive attitude will help you to look forward to the day, instead of dreading or setting yourself up for failure.
