Is your pantry disorganized and in need of a little (or lot) of organization? Mine was too! Even though I had attempted to get it organized last year, it just wasn’t working for us. Luckily for me, these Chalkboard Kitchen Labels were just what I needed to get my pantry back into shape. Now cooking and preparing for dinner is a real breeze!
When I decided to move all my pantry dry goods into containers last year, I found some cute chalkboard labels at Walmart. They were peel and stick, and all I had to do was stick them on my containers and write the contents on the labels. Seems simple enough, right? Wrong! Every time I grabbed a container the chalk would rub off. Ugh!
So then I tried a chalkboard pen. Still no dice. I had to be super careful every time I picked up a container and to put it simple…it just wasn’t fun spending time in the kitchen under the “don’t rub the chalk off regime”. Not to mention the hubby didn’t understand and smeared the labels every time he made pancakes. It was driving me crazy and I knew it was time for a change, but I kept putting it off until another day.
When the hubby was out of town all last week for business, I had some extra time on my hands (I was lonely I admit) and I switched into super cleaning/organizing mode. I went through my craft stash, linen closet, everything I could get my hands. That included…you guessed it…my pantry. I purged my home of anything I no longer wanted and reorganized everything neatly back into place. Not to mention I finally felt so relieved to get these things off of my to do list!
Let me tell you, I had way too much fun ripping off the old chalkboard labels. You know what they say, out with the old and in with the new! I printed out these Chalkboard Kitchen Labels, cut them out and added them to all of my containers. They are so beautiful! Not to mention, everything looks so much better organized and matching. No more smeared chalk with these babies! Now I love cooking in my kitchen now that everything is so easy to find.
