I’ve been experimenting with ways to dress up southern sweet tea this summer. I know many people may think there’s no way to improve such a classic, but I don’t agree so I’ve been busy trying out new recipes. I recently shared the recipe for Citrus Sweet Tea, which was a great version of lemonade meets sweet tea, but today I’ve got a new minty fresh version I think you’ll love. Meet your new favorite summer beverage…Peach Mint Sweet Tea!
I grew up drinking sweet tea and never thought much about it until I moved to the Midwest. Just try going to a restaurant in rural Minnesota and ask for a glass of sweet iced tea and see what happens. Chances are you’ll leave disappointed because tea comes in only two options there…hot tea or iced tea unsweetened. Yes, it was during my stay in the Midwest that I realized I had been taking the glorious beverage of iced sweet tea for granted. It truly is my beverage of choice, and I’m so thankful I no longer have trouble getting a tall, cool glass at restaurants here in the South.
Today’s recipe adds a little kick to the class Southern iced sweet tea thanks to the tasty flavors of peach and mint. Oh my, this version of Peach Mint Sweet Tea is so refreshing and the perfect choice for a hot summer day. Check out the easy recipe below and let me know what you think! Could it be your new fave?
