Allright, you asked for it and today you’re getting it…the answer to a question I’ve been asked again and again since I started sharing tips on using a paper planner. Yes, today I’m giving you a peek into my daily planner. Get ready, because she’s a beauty! This post contains a referral link. Click here to read my full disclosure policy.
One look at that cover and you can see one reason why I chose to use the Erin Condren LifePlanner. It’s gorgeous! It was so much fun choosing a design and the colors for my very own personalized planner. Yes, this LifePlanner is definitely one of a kind, and all mine. Don’t like scales? Don’t worry, there are a lot of different designs to choose from and I bet there is one you’d fall in love with, too.
Alright, let’s move on and I’ll give you a peek into my daily planner, so you can see what all the fuss is about!
No planner is complete without a year at a glance calendar. Here you’ll see mini month calendars for the year to use when planning events, appointments, schedules, etc. throughout the year. It’s at the front of the LifePlanner and easy to find.
Here’s a look at the monthly spread. I like having space to write out any goals I have for the month, and there is plenty of space for jotting down events, appointments and other notables on this calendar. The LifePlanner pages are made out of nice, thick paper, so I haven’t had any issues with pens or highlighters bleeding through the pages.
Since the LifePlanner is personalized, you even get to choose your own layout for weekly planning. There are vertical, horizontal and hourly options to chose from. Here you see my layout of choice, the vertical planner. I like seeing my days planned out in neat little rows, what can I say? See how the divided blocks are left blank? Now YOU can choose how you want to plan your day. Want to see how I plan mine?
OK, I guess I can give you a peek at my planner for next week. 🙂 I usually plan out my weeks on Sunday afternoons, so that’s why most of next week is still blank. I wanted you to get an idea of how I use my planner so I went in and jotted down a few things. I used to divide my sections into Morning, Afternoon and Evening, but I decided to try something different recently. Last month I started dividing the sections to keep my blogging and personal tasks separate, and have a section to list appointments and other reminders. So far it’s been working for me so I’m thinking of keeping it that way.
Did you notice the little thankful thought box in the upper left corner? I love the reminder to stop and be thankful, even when I’m busy knocking those tasks off my to-do list!
Tell me, are you one of those planners who love to use stickers? This may be the planner for you then! In the back there are several pages of event and blank stickers to use to plan out your days. This was a surprise when I got my first LifePlanner, and I love them for marking appointments and birthdays on my calendar pages.
Each monthly tabbed page has a fun quote to live by, and you get a page for notes at the end of each month. There are also some blank pages in the back for note taking or brainstorming.
In the very back of my LifePlanner there is a nifty plastic zippered pouch and folder to keep any loose items you may need. LOVE this! You will receive some awesome freebies to use with your planner, and you can sneak a peek at some of mine I haven’t used yet. There are also lots of accessories to use with your planner for purchase in the Erin Condren shop.
Wasn’t that fun, getting a peek into my daily planner? Do you think you’d like to give an Erin Condren LifePlanner a try? The new LifePlanner launches next week on 6/1/18. You can choose a 12 month or 18 month planner, so there’s no waiting until 2017 to start using it unless you want to. There are some exciting changes for customization of your planner, too. You can choose a colorful or neutral palette for your planner pages and see a preview of your design before ordering your personalized planner. It doesn’t get much better than that!
