Join two colors of the worsted weight yarn together with a slip knot. Place the yarn across the top of flip flop strap, insert hook under strap and yarn over, creating 2 loops on hook. Insert hook over the strap, yarn over, then pull the strands through both loops to create a single crochet around the strap. Continue working around the flip flop until the entire strap is covered.

Join the Pomp-a-Doodle yarn with a slip stitch in the first single crochet of the strap. Working with the thread between the pom-poms, single crochet into every single crochet around the strap, ending with a slip stitch in the last single crochet. Weave in ends.

Make pom-poms using the red, white and blue worsted weight yarn. Attach to the front of the flip flops and weave in the ends.
